EPSO AD5: Test Day — What to Expect and Tips
What to expect on EPSO AD5 test day (Part 1, November) and last-minute tips to manage time, stress and mistakes.
Part 1 tests are in November. Knowing what to expect on test day cuts stress and wins you points. (Check your official invitation for time, venue or format and required documents.)
What to expect
Multiple-choice, computer-based, timed tests: verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning. Few questions, little time — it's about precision under pressure.
Test-day tips
- Logistics ready the night before: invitation, ID, route or link, alarm.
- Time management: if a question blocks you beyond ~40 seconds, flag it and move on.
- Secure questions first: bank the easy points, then return to the hard ones.
- Breathe: 2-3 slow breaths before starting lower anxiety and sharpen your reading.
- Don't leave blanks (if there's no penalty): a reasoned attempt is better.
The week before
No new topics: light review, 1-2 timed mocks, regular sleep. Mental freshness beats one last fact.
Practise in real conditions
Get your mind used to the timed format: take the free test and, to train everything, full access (500 questions with explained answers).
